September 12, 2026: Concert Tribute to Leonard Cohen at the SNFCC
in Athens
Lina Nikolakopoulou, Dimitra Galani and other outstanding Greek singers and songwriters will take part in the prominent Leonard Cohen Concert Tribute which will take place at the SNFCC
as part of the Parklife Series.
Leonard Cohen’s son and grandson Adam and Cassius will also participate.

December 2025: The Swing of Manolis Chiotis at Gyalino Mousiko Theatro
At Gyalino Mousiko Theatro (Leoforos Syggrou, Athens) you can experience Greek Swing Music composed by Manolis Chiotis – he is said to be responsible for putting a fourth string to the bouzouki and therefore changing the course of Greek Music in the 20th century.
The successful program curated by Lina Nikolakopoulou features renowned musicians such as Manolis Karantinis on bouzouki as well as singers Gerasimos Andreatos, Penny Baltatzi and Chrysoula Stefanaki.

June 2025: Premiere of musical theater play “Chorika Ydata” at Kourion Ancient Amphitheater in Cyprus
Athinorama published a report about the premiere of “Chorika Ydata” (Choral Waters), the new live musical theater play bringing to light the songs written by Lina Nikolakopoulou for classical and modern theater over the years. The first performances were staged at Kourion Ancient Amphitheater in Cyprus, where the play currently is on tour. Dates for Greece will follow in July and August.

In an interesting new podcast with hosts Christos and Marina at ANT1 Cyprus, Lina Nikolakopoulou describes her experience while creating the Theater Play “Chorika Ydata” (Χορικά Ύδατα – Choral Waters) which will be on tour in Cypriot Open Air Theaters in June and in Greece in July and August!
First date is the Ancient Open Air Theater of Kourion on June 12 and 13.

Lina Nikolakopoulou supports a charity concert which will be staged on February 4 at Dimotiko Theatro Pireas (Municipal Theatre Pireaus) to benefit the organization “Angaliazo” – volunteers supporting people with cancer.

January 13, 2025: Balkan Concert Celebration with Lina Nikolakopoulou at Pallas Theatre in Athens SOLD OUT
A big concert celebrating Balkan melodies and Lina Nikolakopoulou’s song lyrics will happen at Pallas Theater in Athens on January 13: “Na ‘tan i hara oikopedo” (Να ‘ταν η χαρά οικόπεδο – If joy were a piece of land)
The ten-member orchestra “Salonique Brass Band” with frontman Thanos Stavridis performs the characteristic Balkan rhythms.
As main acts, two great ladies of greek folk song will grace the stage: Glykeria and Pitsa Papadopoulou. Also, Lina has invited four singers from the younger generation who she cherishes and believes in: Sofia Papazoglou, Thodoris Voutsikakis, Aspasia Stratigou and Apostolos Kitsos.
Additionally, for special participation in this Balkan party the beloved Manolis Mitsias and the Serbian composer and singer Kiki Lesendrić are announced.
Well known singer/performer Marina Satti will also make a guest appearance!

At “diesi in concert”, Marina Satti gives a touching interpretation of the song “Vlefaro mou” (Βλέφαρό μου – My eyelid). This classic piece combines Lina Nikolakopoulou’s lyrics with the music of composer Nikos Kypourgos.
November & December 2024: Thodoris Voutsikakis with new songs at Gazarte

December 2024: Award from cultural publication “Epilogos” for Lina Nikolakopoulou
Cultural publication “Epilogos” held an event at Megaro Mousikis Athinon for the release of its new volume and it included a tribute to the late writer and theater critic Kostas Georgousopoulos.
The main part of the evening focused on the award ceremony for significant cultural contributions to Arts and Letters.
Nikos Fotopoulos, Professor of Sociology at the University of Peloponnese, praised Lina Nikolakopoulou’s work and personality, saying that it is “a groundbreaking writing that forges common sentiment” and that she belongs to those poets who write lyrics. Also, her work is the subject of university research.

September 28, 2024: Concert “Mother Sea” in Poros
“Thalassa Mana” (Θάλασσα Μάνα – Mother Sea), a concert event that aims to highlight the Sea as a symbol of life and inspiration will be set up under the artistic supervision of Lina Nikolakopoulou at Karamanos Square on the island of Poros on Sep 28.
Thodoris Voutsikakis and Eleni Dimopoulou will perform songs from the treasure trove of Lina’s work and the Greek songbook.
The event is organized in cooperation with Katheti and AKTAIA and admission is free.
A documentary “The Sanctuary of Poseidon” will be featured which will show the importance of the marine ecosystem and the threat posed to it by increased fish farming in the region.

Fans in the north of Greece, get ready for a unique music event on September 3:
Thodoris Voutsikakis will perform at the “Festival at the Lazarist Monastery” in Thessaloniki, accompanied by several splendid instrumentalists (among them Neoklis Neofytidis and Vangelis Machairas) and also a brass band!
The audience can look forward to live renditions of Thodoris’ brilliant new songs “To Proto Mou Triantafyllo” and “Una Mujer”, both with lyrics by Lina Nikolakopoulou.
The event was originally scheduled for July. Due to the weather forecast it got a new date in September.

A new concert “Anasa Mou Ki Aera” (Ανάσα μου κι αέρα – My breath and air) is scheduled for August 21 on Andros island.
The three rising stars Apostolos Kitsos, Panagiotis Lambouras and Thodoris Nikolaou will perform together the highlights from the songbook of Lina Nikolakopoulou and Paraskevas Karasoulos.

July 31, 2024: Argyro Kaparou at Vikos Festival

Our beloved Argyro Kaparou will enter the stage at Vikos Festival in Epirus in a new and original music event curated by Lina Nikolakopoulou.
In the performance “Sti Laspi Thisavri” (… στη λάσπη θησαυροί – … in the mud treasures) Argyro with her deep warm voice will bring songs and poems to light which are dedicated to women.
The texts of Lina Nikolakopoulou will be read by actress Anna Psarra.
The musicians featured are Evangelia Mavridou (piano – orchestra arrangement), Vassilis Rapsaniotis (violin) and Anna Laki (accordion). Amalia Askordalaki and Danae Katsameni are accompanying.
The shows starts on July 31 at 21.00, admission is free. The location should be a one hour drive from Ioannina – go there, if you get the chance. 🙂

May 2024: Report from the “Post Love” concert in Luxembourg
When we heard about the “Post Love” Mini Tour we pondered a trip to Luxembourg to attend the special concert with the exceptional Argyro Kaparou and Teti Kassioni.
Finally, we made it!
At the evening of May 18th, the stunning opening had Argyro Kaparou singing “Triantafylla Tou Kosmou” and she instantly created a mystical atmosphere in the church in the heart of Luxembourg.
The songs of our beloved Lina Nikolakopoulou were accompanied perfectly by the musicians under the supervision of Thymios Papadopoulos who tailored a warm and intimate “robe” for these diamonds. Several duets were performed by Argyro Kaparou and Teti Kassioni in Greek and French. Respect for the translation work to Teti!
Actors Anna Psarra and Ilias Konteas read “Ta Spitia”.
Our applause also goes to the Hellenic Choir of Luxembourg with conductor Maria Dervitzaki. Their contributions (“Ellinismos”; “Tou Ai Giorgi”) touched our hearts.
In the end, Lina came out to direct the finale with the audience joining in for “Anthropon Erga” and “Sotiria Tis Psychis”.
The event really brought Greece to the heart of Europe!

December 2023: EDEM signs new agreement
EDEM, the Greek non-profit music rights organization, keeps up its successful and constructive work with the Municipal Broadcasting Media Organization (EDIRTIMEE). The two parties signed an agreement to continue their cooperation which was established in 2020.
Lina Nikolakopoulou as vice president and Paraskevas Karasoulos as secretary of EDEM on behalf of the music creators thanked the representatives of EDIRTIMEE for their substantial support by providing a platform for the promotion of Greek song, especially in the broadcasts of radio and television stations.
Ms Louka Katseli (CEO of EDEM) expressed her satisfaction about the true respect for the intellectual rights of Greek creators.
The two parties agreed to extend their cooperation to other actions that will promote music creation and highlight the role of broadcasting media as a channel of communication and promotion of Greece’s musical culture.

The event “To tragoudi sti zoi mas” (“Το τραγούδι στη ζωή μας – The [significance of the] song in our life”) was held at Gazarte, organized by EDEM music rights organization.

Today is the birthday of singing legend and musician Dimitra Galani who is very influential in the Greek music scene and in Lina Nikolakopoulou’s career. Therefore we chose the 1981 milestone song ‘Sta Kitrina Fota’ as a translation project to honour her great work. It is an adaption of Leonard Cohen’s “Famous Blue Raincoat”.

Radio station “Deftero Laika” showcases the new album of singer Giota Negka which assembles a bouquet of songs written by the grande dame of Greek Laiko Tragoudi, Eftychia Papagiannopoulou. The songs on “Tragoudontas tin Eftychia” were uniquely chosen for Negka’s program by Lina Nikolakopoulou, she can be heard narrating the introduction.

“San Astro” (Like A Star) – a new theater play about Ninou’s life and music is staged in Theatro Technis Karolos Koun in Odos Frynichou in Athens. World premiere of “Ellinismos” – a new hymn, dedicated to the Greek diaspora.
The lyrics/poem is composed by Lina Nikolakopoulou and the music was written by Evanthia Reboutsika. The dignified music piece gives hommage to the connection of the Greek people in different countries of the world and sees the light of day in the year of the 200th birthday celebrations of the modern Greek state.

Thodoris Voutiskakis gives a series of celebrated concerts at “Theatro Technis Karolos Koun” in the Greek capital’s Odos Frynichou which will showcase the most-loved songs of his career in an intimate setting. Lina Nikolakopoulou has the artistic supervision, so this should make for an elaborate and sophisticated song choice which surely will feature also some lesser known gemstones.

“ΗΤΑΝ ΜΙΑ ΛΕΞΗ ΜΟΝΑΧΑ… ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ” (“It Was Only One Word…FREEDOM”) – a musical event in honor of the Greek “Ochi Day” is planned to take place at Megaro Mousikis Thessalonikis (Thessaloniki Music Hall).
The performance will feature shining young tenor Thodoris Voutsikakis and singer Eleni Dimopoulou together with the Symphonic Orchestra of the city of Thessaloniki.
